Charity................ Shopping

Today I headed out for a charity shop hunt to find some bargains that the rich folk had decided to donate, its a win win win situation, the rich feel good, the charities benefit and I get a bargain.  Now of course everyone should donate things they no longer use, not just the rich, but to be honest I dont want to buy a second hand top from dunnes that is frankily, done.  I want to find good quality or designer goods with plenty of life left in them.  Unfortunately today the charity shops were crap.

I popped into a second hand shop for a nosey. . . .

These cute shoe boots are from Rich Rags, Bloomfield Road, Belfast and I love them, they are quirky, comfy and very me.  However they are by no means charity shop £.  Rich Rags take your designer clothes, shoes, accessories or bags and sell them for you and in return you get a % of the sale.  Most of the clothes are a little old for me, but for shoes and bags it seems like a good place for a browse.

I then headed to Holywood and found this lovely cushion in Solstice Holywood it is for my beauty salon and hopefully will make people smile.

And on that positive note I shall leave you and wish you a happy and healthy 2012.

Later I am going to the pub with my brother James and hubby G, we will have a few drinks and shoot some pool - I will win.

This is me for today, cosy and comfy.......... Bliss

My bag was an amazing little bargain from a second hand shop in BT9

Who I am

My name is Michelle, Chelle, Mrs Prentice or Mrs Michelle Prentice IRI ITEC CIDESCO, I am 35, married to G and have a boxer dog Bentley who is 5 and rules the roost.  In 2009 I changed my life by leaving behind 16 years in an accounts career to train as a beauty therapist and now have my own business which operates right beside my home, Bliss.  Everyday in the world of Bliss is different, but the main idea is to help others feel good in their own skin, be that working on skin conditions, massage therapies or the instant glamour of freshly manicured nails, I truly love it all.

Going forward my plans for 2012 are to shift the weight, yes I have a lovely relationship with food, its one of my best friends, a best friend who is secretly poisoning me and cutting years of my life, I need to delete this friend from my list, pronto.  I also plan to continue my education with Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute, though this is not a plan for 2012, its been a big part of my life in 2011 and will be for the rest of my working life, learning about skin amazes me and in turn helps my clients.

I am the eldest of 6 siblings, its not an easy task, I want to help each of them so they dont make some of the mistakes that I have, but I have to accept that they live their own lives, its not always easy though.  I care about people way too much which usually only leads to me getting upset, sensitive little scorpio that I am.

My circle of friends is small, quality over quantity.  We dont see each other very often, and thats ok.

I shall sign off now and go read some blogs :)

Leopard Longing

So, for months I have been hoping for new colourways of the Louis Vuitton Leopard Pareo to be released, so I could snap one up and make my life complete. I have zero idea of when this happens in the fashion calender but I was waiting patiently for Grazia to tell me, you see as I said I really dont know anything about fashion.

Then on Christmas day night (you know what I mean) I was browsing Cruise website, you know to get them back for reducing my handbag I was going to buy something else discounted.... Yes my mind is a complex thing.

I saw a leopard print scarf and decided to order it with the safety that it could be returned as of course it wouldnt satisfy my longing, but what do you know its perfect and under £50

I thank you Ted Baker

I like that it has a red trim to brighten it up, what do you think?

M&S Limited Collection - The Sale

So these are my goodies from M&S sale, bought both online on Christmas day and in store at a surprisingly calm Sprucefield on Boxing Day.

This photo doesnt really show this top in a true way, the front is a little sheer, not so much that I will need to cover up but a black bra will be sublty seen. I think it will look nice casually or under my black blazer in a smarter way

Stars are special to me, I have 6 of them tattooed on my bod, and they each represent a person. I will wear this top with a vest or long sleeve top underneath to both hold my wobbly bits in and hide my skin from showing through

Just an easy to wear top, I like 3/4 sleeves, which will probably be almost full length on me and the lower neckline so as not to trap the boobies lol

LOVE this skirt, I am an apple shape so I am round in the middle but my pins are not to shabby, the elasticated waist is comfortable and yet I feel damn good in it

This violet top wasnt online so I had to take my own photo, which doesnt really show how nice it is, there are sheer sides and a sheer back with a zip - this is probably pointless photo numbero uno of my blog

I love animal print, and thought the bit of colour made this top bright and young.

So there you go, what did you get in the sales?

I would like to start following some blogs so please post your info in the comments for me, thanks.

Oh and just so you know, I am totally clueless about fashion, this blog will be my diary about lots of things, I am also pretty clueless about spelling and grammar so go easy on me.

Bye for now

Christmas 2011

So technically its no longer Christmas so my title is a bit off, but this is the last evening of my Christmas holiday before I return to work tomorrow, though I love my work so its all good.

I dont want to set the tone for my blog with a post of a haul but guess what, here's what I got treated to and treated myself to this Christmas.......... shop shop shop :)

My husband and I picked out my present in November, this classic black Vivienne Westwood bag, which disgustingly was then reduced by £100 the day after Christmas.

Right after Christmas (Dinner) I went sale shopping, why wait?

I am hoping that this blazer will look good with dark jeans, heels and a sheer top underneath, we shall see when it arrives from ASOS

This sheer nude cami is going under the blazer, and something black is going under the cami, then to complete the outfit I will need a cocktail in my hand :)

This is it in black, which shows the detail a lot more.

I like the wrap style of this dress, hopefully it will be flattering and make me feel good, online shopping is so hit and miss.

I also got some things from Marks & Spencers, I REALLY like their Limited Collection, I think the clothes are modern, fit me well and good quality, though I do usually wait for the sales as M&S can be pricey. My next post will show those.

In addition to the shopping I have had a lovely Christmas, visiting family but still making time for us, we had a nice Christmas dinner just the 2 of us, and the doggy. It was so relaxed, and we didnt over indulge. Most people told us we were anti social and made us feel a little awkward for wanting to be alone on Christmas day but we went ahead and did what we wanted to do, just because we dont have children doesnt mean we are not a family and cannot have our own Christmas day......... so there ;)

I am quite sure noone is reading this but I had fun putting this little blog post together anyhoooooo

Bye for now
